About the Community

Port Santorini is an idyllic lake community located on the southern shore of Lake Keowee within a few short miles of downtown Seneca, South Carolina. Although the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, you are just minutes away from shopping, dining, movie theaters, medical facilities and beautiful South Cove County Park. It is a deed restricted community governed by their homeowners association, Port Santorini Association (PSA).

The 99 lots that comprise Port Santorini are surrounded by quiet woods, well-groomed lawns, wildlife, and lake activities. Port Santorini is a FireWise and Neighborhood Watch community. The HOA Board of Directors and the residents’ involvement in the community contribute to the peaceful and safe surroundings.  Another factor that protects the neighborhood is that Port Santorini does not allow short-term rentals, so you don’t need to worry about a weekly or monthly turnover of residents. Our members may rent their homes starting at six months or longer per rental agreement.

Because Port Santorini is located just outside the Seneca city limits, residents benefit from proximity to Seneca’s amenities without having to pay city taxes. Port Santorini is one of the few lake communities outside of Seneca city limits that enjoys public sewer service in addition to public water. Roads within Port Santorini are county roads, maintained by the county - not the residents. Electricity is provided by Duke Energy. Natural gas is provided by Fort Hill Gas Authority. There is more than one provider for phone or cable services.

The five acre Port Santorini Common area offers amenities including a boat ramp, swim dock, swim beach, picnic shelter, basketball half-court, playground, gazebo and large lawn area, all available for the use of owners and their guests. Many properties have private docks. Owners of properties who do not have private docks may request a boat slip through a separate sub-organization called, “The Boat Club” which is also accessed through the common area. At times when no slips are currently available there may be a waiting list.   A tennis court area is currently out of service and may be repurposed.

Oconee County taxes are very reasonable. Port Santorini assesses a modest annual HOA fee, one of the lowest of all lake communities, covering property taxes, utilities, and maintenance of the common areas.
