Upcoming Election

It's that time of year to prepare for PSA's annual meeting. The nominating committee, whose duty it is to find and vet candidates for the open PSA Board positions, has been appointed. The three members are Linda Lee, Sharon Hamilton and Lisa Kiser.

The two open PSA Board positions for 2025-2027 are Chairman and Treasurer.  Both who now hold these positions have reached their term limits so are ineligible to serve another term. Below are the job descriptions as listed in the PSA By-Laws - Section 2 Chairman and Section 4 Treasurer. Experience serving on a board or accounting experience is helpful but not required.

Chairman: The Chairman shall preside at Board and Membership meeting and be vested with the powers and duties generally incident to the office of the Chairman and chief administration officer of a non-profit corporation, except as may be otherwise set forth in the By-Laws.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have custody of all the Association's funds, collect monies due, pay Association obligations with Association funds, and perform such other duties as are incident to the office of Treasurer.  The Board may require that the Treasurer be bonded for such amount and under such conditions as the Board may require. The Board may also provide for a periodic audit of funds under the custody of the Treasurer.

Candidates must be finalized by mid April to be voted on at the annual meeting in May. The term is two years and begins immediately following the May meeting. Feel free to contact anyone on the Nominating Committee if you are interested in how you can serve. It is a great way to get to know your neighbors and help improve our wonderful community.

Sincerely,

PSA Nominating Committee
