Port Santorini’s Common Area

Located on the shores of Lake Keowee, our 5+ acre common area is a place reserved for all the residents of the Port Santorini Association to socialize and enjoy.  Always make sure you leave the gate locked after entering or departing. Please remember that if you bring guests or host an activity, all guests must be accompanied by their Port Santorini homeowner host.

Entering the Common Area

You need a key to enter the Common Area.  Only residents and boat club members will have a key.  It is important that the gate remain locked.  If you are bringing your boat in to launch at the ramp, please be sure to lock the gate behind you after you have entered the common area.  Be sure to lock the gate behind you upon leaving.  

If you have reserved the common area for a function, the gate may remain open while the event is ongoing, but should be locked after the last person has exited.

Reserving the Common Area

Both the Pavilion and the Common Area can be reserved.  You should email your request to  Portsantorini@gmail.com  or go to the "Forms and Documents" page to fill out your request online.

Be sure to include, your name, the date and time of your event, as well as, which areas you would like to reserve.

Please give a minimum of 7 days lead time.  After checking availability, you will be emailed. 

Oconee County Ordinances should be followed.  It is required that the areas used will be cleaned up after your event and you will remove the trash. Port Santorini does not have a trash pickup service for these bins, they are for your convenience only. Likewise if you use the grill, make sure your coals have been totally extinguished and take them with you.

All new shelter Reservations require a $50.00 refundable deposit in order to hold your reservation. Failure to pay the Treasurer within 7 days of your approval email will result in your reservation being cancelled. As long as the area is left clean and in good order, with no damage and all the trash removed, your deposit will be refunded in full. Should you fail to follow the rules, you will forfeit your deposit.

Further information regarding payment of the damage deposit will be sent along with your approval letter.

The Swim Dock ~Boat Ramp ~Beach

Port Santorini has a boat ramp so that residents can launch their watercraft for a day on the lake. This is a private ramp for use by residents and boat club members only.

Under no circumstance may you leave your boat at the dock for longer than it takes to load and unload. If a boat is moored at the dock for an extended period of time, it is a violation of Port Santorini’s contract with Duke and Duke has the right to confiscate the dock and/or remove the dock permit we enjoy.

The swim dock and beach are also available for residents and their guests only.  It is private property.  There is no life guard on duty at any time.  While the swim dock can be used to fish, it should not be altered in any way.

 
 

The Pergola

Designed as an area to sit and enjoy the outdoors.  The large field nearby can be used for groups wishing to play soccer, volleyball or perhaps badminton.  There is also an area set aside for basketball.  These areas are designed for use by residents and their guests.

 

The Pavillion

This covered area, with picnic table styled seating is available to residents for  gatherings or outdoor parties.  There is a built in grill available for use nearby.  If you use the Pavillion and turn on the lights and fans, please be sure to turn them off before you leave.

 

Children's Play Area

For everyone's safety please remember that children should be supervised.
